Turning Vision into Action.
Digitally Accelerated Standardized Housing (DASH) represents a bold step toward solving one of Canada’s most pressing challenges: how to deliver more sustainable, affordable, and resilient housing faster. As part of this national demonstration project, Scius Advisory is playing a leading role in guiding the initiative from concept to implementation. Our team provides the project management and development expertise that turns ambitious ideas into coordinated, real-world models for modern housing delivery.
From the outset, our focus has been on building a framework that balances innovation with practicality. Scius works closely with BC Housing, the project’s lead housing partner, as well as research, and industry collaborators to define clear objectives, align technical pathways, and ensure that environmental performance remains central to every decision. Through hands-on coordination and strategic oversight, we help create the conditions that allow the DASH vision to advance.
Central to the project’s success is its use of modern methods of construction, including prefabrication and advanced digital design tools. Scius’s deep knowledge of these systems enables us to connect the right expertise at the right moments, ensuring the project moves forward efficiently and effectively. Working alongside Aliova, who leads the project’s Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategy, we are helping integrate digital coordination and visualization tools that improve collaboration and reduce inefficiencies. By embedding industrialized construction principles early in the process, DASH is demonstrating how housing can be delivered faster without compromising quality, design, or sustainability.
Our team also plays a key role in translating research into action. We are helping define measurable sustainability outcomes, applying data-driven analysis to guide decision-making, and supporting the integration of emerging technologies that reduce waste and embodied carbon. The goal is not only to deliver a successful project, but to establish a replicable model that can help the construction industry transition toward a lower-carbon, higher-performance future.
Our ongoing work on DASH also builds on the project's participation as a semi-finalist in the CMHC Housing Supply Challenge: Round 5. We also contributed to its precursor projects, Goldstream and Vienna House, which laid the foundation for DASH to evolve. Through this initiative, we continue to play an active role in shaping the future of housing delivery through data, strategy, and innovation. As the program progresses, we’ll have more to share about its impact.
