Scius's 2025 BC Construction Clean Tech Report provides an updated look at one of British Columbia’s fastest-growing and most innovative sectors. Building on the foundational research from 2021, this year's report offers a comprehensive overview of the province’s construction clean tech ecosystem, where sustainable design, advanced manufacturing, and clean technology come together to transform the built environment.
In BC, the construction sector plays a central role in the transition to a low-carbon economy. The companies featured in this research are developing technologies, materials, and systems that reduce emissions, improve efficiency, and support circular practices across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
This year’s study identifies 212 active companies operating across ten key industry categories, including modular and prefabricated systems, green construction materials, digital twins, deconstruction and reuse, and emerging technologies such as carbon capture and 3D printing. The sector has grown by nearly 85% since 2021, reflecting both the market’s momentum and the increasing importance of clean innovation in construction.
As BC continues to advance toward its net-zero and climate resilience goals, these companies are showing how sustainability can drive both economic growth and environmental performance.
